Vic Department of TransportThe Victorian Government has made travelling in Ballarat CBD safer for residents and visitors following the completion of major upgrades at one of the city’s busiest intersections.New traffic signals and a new crossing point has now been installed at the intersection of Sturt and Drummond Streets.The new pedestrian crossing and traffic signals will connect the shared user path and allow people to cross the centre median safely, improving walking and cycling access.The extensive works included boring, excavation and installation of cabling, new signals, new kerbs, crossings and LED lanterns, line marking and road resurfacing.
